BAILEY’S WALK AT B.R.
The Final Cache IS NOT at above Coordinates!
CONGRATS TO NJPUGS FOR FTF ON VETERANS DAY 2010!
This is a Multi-Cache at the Brick Township Reservoir. You and your geo-pooch will get to enjoy beautiful landscaping and views at this 1.6-mile walk around the reservoir (90 surface acres & 1 billion gallons of water). There are wide paved paths with no bushwhacking required to find 3 Nano caches on your way to finding the 4th and final Micro cache with a cool view. (Cool View appears to NOT be there in colder months, you will also see the GSP Bridge over Herbertsville Rd clearly.)This cache was created after our 100th find, though we prefer larger finds and enjoy moving trackables. We wanted to create a non-impacting, environmentally friendly, multi-cache; up until now, we have never even attempted to find one, but Bailey is a fresh little white fluffy dog that thinks you deserve a challenge and wants you to spend some time here on your walk, not just a traditional cache and dash. When he was a new pup, we walked around here with him hidden in-side my wife’s coat, now he thinks he’s part Husky sled-dog, not the Bichon he is, practically pulling us around the path, he loves walking here, you will too.
BEWARE OF MUGGLES BOTH 2 AND 4 LEGGED.
Parking can be found at N 40 07.303 W 074 07.153 or N 40 07.830 W 074 07.092
This location IS NOT available on Mondays, nor Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. It is open to the public Tuesday - Sunday.
Hour of Operation are December 16-March 31: 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
April 1-December 15: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. There is path lighting.
Plan your visit accordingly to allow proper search time.
Your final find will require that you see 3 wonderful views, each will contain a part of the final coordinates.
N 40 and W 074 can be assumed. The other 3 parts will be in the 3 Nano’s you will be required to find. PLEASE return all containers exactly as found so they are not muggled. There are no logs in these 3. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE NUMBERS FROM CONTAINERS.
Those coordinates in no particular order are:
N 40 07.460 W 074 07.295
N 40 07.655 W 074 07.100
N 40 07.394 W 074 07.210
You will need to stop at Stage 0 first and find a hanging key-chain at N 40 07.807 W 074 07.070, the Namesake CO might see it easier than you will. It lists all the coordinates listed above for the 3 Nano's you will need to find before finding the final Micro.
These will require you to visit and see views from your visit at sunrise, at an informative view anytime, and at sunset. You will need to figure out which is which. You can relax at two views and let your cheeks do the rest. Put your final coordinates together here:
N 40 XX.XXX and W 074 XX.XXX, and enjoy your “Cool View”, final is a Micro. Again, you will never need to leave the wide paved paths or go near the shoreline rocks, please don’t cross the barriers. The log is here, good luck to the first to find.
Have fun, enjoy the views, and the walk with your family, either the 2 or 4, legged kind.
And, PLEASE, take & upload pictures of your Geo-Dog, but NO spoiler photos.
BRING YOUR OWN PEN, there is an extraction tool, but you might want tweezers or hemostats to pull log.
