Andreas Töpper (auch: Andreas von Töpper, geboren am 10.
November 1786 in Schwanberg, † 27. April 1872 in Scheibbs)
war ein österreichischer Industrieller. Er gilt als größter
Privatunternehmer in der Donaumonarchie, sein Eisenwalzwerk war das
modernste in Europa. Töpper beschäftigte in seinen Fabriken von
Scheibbs bis Lunz am See 800 Arbeiter.
Sein Sohn Andreas starb als Kind und wurde wie die Eltern im
Mausoleum in Scheibbs beigesetzt, eine Gedenktafel erinnert
noch daran.
Andreas Töpper (also: Andreas von Töpper, born: 10th

during Austrian monarchy and his iron steel-mill was considered to
be the most modern type in Europe.
He, his wife and his son Andreas, who died in the age of 7 (a
memorial tablet still reminds of this tragedy), were buried in the
mausoleum of Scheibbs.
