In Extremis - (IX) - Great North Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoojar: I will not be out this way for a little while, so it is best to put this one to bed.

For historical reasons some people may need to know that R = 6.

Thanks for playing.

Geocache Description:

The "In Extremis Series" is a collection of caches that we will be placing on our travels. As the name suggests, each cache will be hidden approximately 160km from our home, the furthest that Groundspeak will allow a cacher to hide a cache from home these days.

Each cache will have inside of it a clue that will need to be recorded. Once the cache series is entirely hidden, all of the clues will be able to be compiled to reveal the location of the In Extremis Mystery Cache.

This cache is not designed to be anything other than a point in a series. It is a very simple road side cache near what was once, a long, long time ago, a main road.

Chip and I placed this cache whilst passing through the area after a weekend of Horse Riding nearby. We sometimes come this way if we are taking the scenic route to The Hunter, or hiking in Yengo National Park.

The Great North Road runs for 260km between Sydney and The hunter Valey. More information on this extremely important historic road can be found at (visit link) and (visit link) .
