In Extremis - The Final Challenge Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hoojar: Thank you to all those who came here. The spirit of the cache is long gone, with the archiving of the original required finds, and thus the difficulty rating no longer reflects the intention. Time to let this one go.

Geocache Description:

The Final Challenge of Hoojar & Chip's In Extremis Series!

You did not really think that solving a 5/5 Challenge Cache was going to be easy, did you!

The first eleven parts in this series are:

In Extremis - (I) - Hume Highway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (II) - Princes Highway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (III) - Federal Highway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (IV) - Castlereagh Highway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (V) - Kings Highway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (VI) - Captains Flat Road: (visit link)
In Extremis - (VII) - Putty Road: (visit link)
In Extremis - (VIII) - Great Western Highway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (IX) - Great North Road: (visit link)
In Extremis - (X) - Sydney-Newcastle Freeway: (visit link)
In Extremis - (XI) - Pacific Highway: (visit link)

According to Google, if you were to drive to each cache, in anti-clockwise order, you would need to cover about 870km!

You will then need to visit the listed co-ordinates to locate the final clue.

The Rules for this Challenge Cache are simple:

1. You must have logged a find on each of the original eleven caches in the series (listed above) and found the clue contained within. No cheating is allowed by getting a clue (or the final co-ordinates) from someone else. You have to work for this one.

2. You must solve the attached puzzle using the clues that you obtained at the above caches. (visit link)

3. Once the puzzle is solved, it will lead you to a cliff above GZ. The walk to the cliff line is about 2km. YOU CAN ONLY ACCESS THIS CACHE FROM ABOVE.

4. Once at GZ at the cliff line you will need to abseil down to the cache. The cliffs here are over 100m high. This is no place for children, puppies or the feint of heart. Or those without the required skill sets!

5. You will notice the cache at some stage during your 100+m descent. You will need to have the skills to stop abseiling and sign the log. You will then need to have the skills to ascend the rope again. You may not have enough rope to abseil all the way to the bottom to change-over.

6. No Group signings allowed. You have to work for this 5/5. One abseiler = one name in the log.

7. Abseiling and prussicing are inherently dangerous. As are cliff lines. We take no responsibly for the dangers that you will face in retrieving this cache.

We hope that you have enjoyed the In Extremis Cache Series. It is designed for people like us that find ourselves on the road a lot exploring this Wide Brown Land!
