Geocache Description:

Just a C&D to break up the trail ride.


The Matapeake Trail starts at Matapeake Park back up Rt 8 a couple of miles. It is a 5 mile paved trail that is used for biking, walking, running & skating. It takes you along some of the pastures on Kent Island as well as farms & developed housing areas.

You will also see an area that is preserved as a natural environmental area. In the spring it is full of beautiful wild flowers & you can even ride your horse along the trail.

There are benches along the way to take a break if you are doing the trail by foot. You can however also just drive to the cache. There is a pull in close to GZ.

If you do the trail during the summer & are making the trip by other than vehicle remember to bring your water as there aren't any places to get anything to eat or drink. The best thing to do along the trail is to ENJOY!
