In everyone's rush to fish the main dam basin they overlook what is one of the best fishing spots in the whole area. the Lachlan tailrace. it has seen trophy trout in excess of 20lbs as well as monster cod and yellowbelly.
once you leave the tar at the bridge you will travel around 300mts to a warning sign. just past this the track will go 2 ways. its a loop so it dosent matter which way you go. I would recommend going to your right. 2wd cars can handle this easy unless they are very low or there has been an excessive amount of rain. my GPS did not like the timber in this area so could not place the cache where I originally wanted to at the very end of the track.
