There use to be a town called mt mc donald it was located at the very top of the mountain it once housed up to 7000 people had a dance hall ,baker ,police station etc there is no sign of it now unless you start to have a good look there is a tree across the track but the cache and graves are only a 40mt walk from this tree
the MT is full of gold unfortunately its also full of water and thats what stopped them. the cache is located at the mt mcdonald cemetery. there are no signs to say its there and 99% of people would just drive past without knowing. it was a large cemetery but bush fires wiped out the wooden tombstones so it looks much smaller than it really is. the local historic society has marked the different religious sections. I use to live on this mountain and covered the whole lot on horseback there are many many things hidden in the scrub here that are of historical significance that have not been visited in decades.
