Geocache Description:

The cache is located along the R71 just 7.5 km from the entrance gate to the Kruger National Park near Phalaborwa.

The cache is placed between two conical koppies with the national road intersecting them. This placing is a belated commemorative cache, celebrating South Africa’s successful hosting of the Soccer World Cup, which was an outstanding event and a great bringing together of so many nice people from so many different nations.

Included in the placing of the cache is a TB “Leo, der reselustige Lowe”, a lion coming home to be near his kin for a while. We found it in northern Germany and it was longing for the African sun…

Stealth is essential for retrieval and replacement as the road is very busy. Please
ensure the cache is well hidden from all angles when returning it to its resting place as there is a path that goes past this spot. Please do not “pack” rocks as this is an invitation for muggles to investigate.
