Geocache Description:

Rump Skinner Hill, a long time tradition in Spooner for sledding during the long winter. Located near the new community walking trail between the Spooner City park and the High School. Easy paved trail most of the way. The hill is known for a steep and rocky downhill sled ride. Slide at your own risk!

Kids in Spooner have hiked back to Rump Skinner Hill for generations. I remember it from my High School days, but didn't know exactly how to get to it my self. After the baseball field was built, access was much easier. Both of my sons brought their sleds back here, 10 years ago and now it is easier than ever to locate. The new community walking trail leads right to the area. Cache is a good sized plastic jar, log book and pen. Plenty of room for small trade items. This cache is winter friendly, so bring your toboggan.
