Geocache Description:

This cache shows you the vast 'a'a fields created by Mauna Loa. Most of the flow you see before you is from the 1868 flow, but there are fingers of other flows as well.

South Point (Ka Lae) and Pali O Kulani can be seen from this vantage point.

The title of the cache should give you a clue of where you should be going. We recommend that you wear sturdy shoes and gloves for this one.

You are looking for a rubber maid tub with a red top.

We try our best to keep the area free of garbage, but please consider cache in trash out at this favorite visitor stopping point.
