Geocache Description:

For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has helped youth become more than they ever thought possible. And we’ll continue that journey into the next century.

Cache to Cub Scouts: The Cub Scout program in the US began in 1930 and currently is open to boys in 1st through 5th grades. This Cub Scouts offers fun and challenging experiences that inspire confidence and teach important values. Cub Scout geocaching is an important addition to the Scout program. This cache is designed with the Cub Scout and other young children in mind. Please leave appropriate toys and ?swag? for young people of all programs.

This cache is hidden just outside of the main park area. Hovander Park hosts an annual twilight cubscout camp in early summer. During the week, the park is overrun by 180 cub scouts playing games, making crafts, launching water rockets, learning about the trees and plants, going on hikes, shooting BB guns and having a great time. Themes have varied from pirates to sports to detectives to jungles and so on. It can best be described as organized chaos, but it is fun to watch.

In addition to Cache to Cub Scouts, we’ve hidden four other caches highlighting Scouting programs. Find all five! Search Mount Baker ToS on Geocaching.com. An unactivated BSA geocoin is the FTF prize. Those that find all five caches will be also be entered into a monthly drawing, two BSA geocoins will be award until our supplies run out. Send an e-mail to Soilsqueezer to let us know that you have found all five and be entered in the drawing.
