Geocache Description:

Peaceful tree-lined walk along the Werribee River in Bacchus Marsh

Start your walk at Peppertree Park and head West on the path beside the Werribee River. The track is high above the river at some points, giving great views and photo opps. It is also well-shaded (with, would you believe, Peppercorn trees) and would be perfect on a hot day. Wildlife of many kinds live along the river including the platypus. These are most likely to be spotted by the patient, quiet cacher, close to dawn or dusk. After placing this cache, I was surprised to hear a great crashing and splashing in the reeds in the river. A couple walking on the track above stopped to see what the commotion was, and from their slightly higher position, assured me that it was a platypus chasing yabbies etc through the reeds. While I can't verify this, there was certainly a commotion for about 10 minutes that kept me enthralled Cache is a 1.2L Sistema, and, due to the flaky readings here, feel free to use the clue provided.
