Geocache Description:

Exit 259 East (Bloody Basin Road) from I-17. Turn on 9023 and follow it to the parking lot. High clearance vehicle recommended. The cache is practically a PNG.

The Arizona Traditions Hiking Club is devoted to hiking and enjoying the outdoors. We have noticed a lack geocaches along many of the well established trails and decided to set out a few of our own.

The cache is just off the parking lot by the Pueblo La Plata Indian Ruins in the Agua Fria National Monument. Take time to hike around the ruins and watch for the many pieces of pottery shards and the occasional obsidian point. Leave the artifacts but take pictures. Look off into the Agua Fria canyon nearby. Bring water and use the restroom about 2 mile before the parking area. Watch out for snakes and other desert critters.

Enjoy the hike and good caching!

Congrats to 2spirits for the FTF.
