This is an easy cache that can be enjoyed by the whole family in a brand new park right next to the famous Gateway Theatre of Shopping.
The Umhlanga Ridge area has developed rapidly over the last few years. 2010 has seen a number of large hotel chains come into the area, which has created a tourist hot spot. The developers of the area decided to a make what they call a "private open park" in amongst all the fancy new buildings where shoppers, tourists, and locals can come and relax and enjoy the Durban weather. The Chris Saunders Park is owned and maintained by the Tongaat Hulett Group and is open to the public from 6:30am to 10:30pm. There is no entrance fee.
Please note: You do not have to climb into the flower bed to retrieve this cache. Be aware that the park is monitored by security.
