Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Tour de Maumelle series.

Cache Info:
Moderate Muggle
The closest parking is located at the Kroger's parking lot (or nearby church). You will need to cross a low traffic street to reach the hiding spot.
This cache is named after the great areal geoglyphs in Nazca, Peru. If you are unsure what I am talking about, do a quick Google search or hit wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazca_Lines). It is incredible that ancient humans were able to make giant pictures large enough to be seen from space (the largest being 660 feet across!). In fact, some of these can only really be seen from higher elevations (or the air) which has lead to all kinds of speculations as to their formation and the reason of why they were made. But trully the most incredible thing about these giant pictures is that they are drawn by simply pushing the top one inch layer of soil aside to reveal the lighter color dirt below. Since the wind here almost never blows and it rains less than a quarter of an inch a year, the fine dirt does not blow the images away and has not for thousands of years!!

This series allows cachers to travel from one end of our fair city to the other and even though some of the caches represented in this series do technically lie outside the borders of Maumelle city limits, they represent a bridge to bridge (or highway to highway) tour through the city.
