You are looking for a small lock-n-lock hidden in a woodland setting. The container has been painted camo colors and is large enough to hold a log, swag and small travelers. To get to the cache, you will need to navigate a grassy area, step over logs and avoid some briars. Off the road parking is close by and will get you within a 100 yds or so of the cache. Ticks, snakes, poisonous plants and bears are all hazards associated with the cache.
There are bears in 38 of the 46 counties making up South Carolina. Horry County has a large share of bears with a section of Highway 31 being a major pathway for their travels. I am always looking for the bears when I travel and when I cache. This spot is the location of my only bear sighting. The bear is here every time I pass by. Find the cache, find the bear, and report back.
