This site used to have a big ball field and a more natural area of bushes, grasses etc. near GZ. It was leveled to install a geo- thermal system to heat the refurbished Cowichan Station School across the street. It is now called the HUB, as in hub of the universe, which is what Cowichan Station like to call itself. Luckily when this area was cleared they left this tree, so now even more than before this one is "outstanding in it's field"
Don't forget to get the cache across the road and check out the HUB.
