Welcome to SELBAC's eighth event starting from 6:30pm on Tuesday 11 January 2011 at The Rising Sun, Eden Park, Kent.
Experienced or not, this is an opportunity to meet with fellow geocachers, swap trackables and put faces to names. Also, if you have any unsolved puzzles maybe bring them along to see if someone else can help with them. It is the ideal place to find answers to those questions we all have!!!
There is wheel chair access at the venue and children are very welcome as long as they are supervised.
Sandwiches and freshly cooked, hot food available at reasonable cost. The management has made a point of asking for numbers to assist them in providing sufficient bar and kitchen staff. Please let me know if you think you will be wanting food on the evening.
The nearest train station is Elmers End or Eden Park which is only 20 minutes from London Bridge, it is then a 10 minute walk from either station. The trams also stop here from Croydon. The bus stop outside is for the 194, 356 and 358 buses and there is a large car park to the rear of the pub.
The previous events have been very well attended by a large number of geocachers, some of whom have travelled a long way to join us. The discussions have been lively and plenty of tales told. Trackables swapped or "discovered" and (more importantly) friendships forged.
Please feel very welcome to come along especially if you are new. We want to actively encourage geocaching in this area and, maybe, the placing of more caches!!
