As all princesses should, Princess_Alex has a variety of interests. Not only is she a huge fan of Disney Princesses, but she also greatly admires Disney Fairies. So for her third cache, Princess_Alex has decided to go with a Tinkerbell theme.
Located within Lemoine Point Conservation Area, a short hike from the parking lot at either end of the park. The cache itself is a small cammo'd lock-n-lock.
As with the real Pixie Hollow, you may have some challenges in locating this cache. Whereas the real Pixie Hollow was hidden away on the magical island of Neverland, this cache is hidden away in a part of the park in which satellite reception may be less than ideal, and GPSr accuracy may be off (the closest we could get while hiding the cache was an accuracy of within 10m). Additionally, there are numerous potential hiding spots in and around GZ. But if you are willing to face these challenges and do some searching, then Tinkerbell's treasures could be yours.
If you'd like to accept some further direction, please read on:
Regardless of which parking lot you you enter the park from, proceed down the main path/service road which connects the north & south parking lots.
Along this main path at the boundary of where the forest meets the grasslands, trail #2 branches off to the south-west. Proceed along this trail. (Note: if you have come down from the north parking lot, you will have already passed another point where trail #2 crosses over the main path within the forest)
Trail #2 winds its way along the edge of the forest. After walking a couple hundred meters you should look for a little side trail branching off to the north (right side) disappearing around some shrubs. If you come across a bird feeder in a tree on the right while still on trail #2, then you have gone just a little too far.
When you leave trail #2 and proceed down the side trail, you should very quickly come across two bird feeders, one on the right and one on the left. Head towards the one on the left and you should see a small path heading into the forest. If you look closely you should see orange ribbons in the trees marking the path.
Shortly after entering the forest itself you should see some fallen trees on the right. This is the right general area in which you should begin your search. Good Luck!
