Geocache Description:

A multi picture cache around Cove, Farnborough. The coordinates given are those for Cove Green car park; there is also parking allowed on the street. This is the starting point of your quest.

Please replace this cache carefully as it is in a muggle-rich area.

This multi-cache involves a walk, along (sometimes busy) roads and green spaces, through part of Cove Village and the Cove Brook Greenway area. It can be done in conjunction with Luna's Mini. The walk is dog and child-friendly and includes a couple places to stop and have a good run around or ball game. There is legal parking aplenty in the surrounding area. Some of it, however, is in Pay and Display car parks or street spaces.

Cove Brook rises in Farnborough airfield and runs north for two miles through Farnborough before joining the River Blackwater near the M3. Although it passes through the middle of a built-up area it contains a diversity of habitats and open spaces and provides a wildlife-rich corridor with paths along most of its course. Water Voles, Grey Herons, Kingfishers and several species of fish frequent the Brook. Blackwater Valley Countryside's Cove Brook Greenway Page

The Cove Brook Greenway Volunteer Group cares for the Greenway; why not help them out by putting the Cache In – Trash Out policy into practice – bring a rubbish bag with you and pack out any rubbish you may see.

You are looking for a small plastic container with a clip lock lid. It’s big enough to hold trackables and small geoswag.

Part of this walk can become very muddy if there has been heavy or sustained rainfall.

Food and drinks are available at various establishments along the walk.

The coordinates are for Cove Green car park; there is also parking allowed on the street. You will need to walk around Cove looking for the locations of the photos shown below. The letter in each picture is hiding a number. Make a note of the hidden number when you find the image's location.

The location of the cache is at the coordinates:
N51° 17.(A+D-B)(G-E)(F+K) W000° 46.(I+M-N)(H+J)(L-C)

The photo locations can be found by walking around Cove Green and making your way West through Cove. All are within around 700m of your starting point. If you find the locations in the order they are shown, this will avoid the need to backtrack. The final cache location is a short walk from the village centre and final clue.

The cache is on public land. Please do not walk through private property to try to access the cache!

Carefully cross over the road at this point and proceed down the left hand side of the one way system.

To assist paperless cachers who download the pictures and find the pictures too small to read the lettering, the clues are as follows:
  • A is number on side of Pay Machine
  • B is digit between 1 and 2 on telegraph pole
  • C is first digit of pounds fine on sign
  • D is number on bus stop
  • E is first digit of yds on low bridge sign
  • F is digit between EN124 and B125 on BT slab
  • G is first digit of width restriction sign
  • H is number on sign post in front of pub
  • I is last digit of year on Charrington sign
  • J is digit between 2 and 4 on telegraph pole
  • K is digit on Aldershot sign
  • L is digit after 1 on light post
  • M is digit after B301 on sign post
  • N is digit after SEA on green box

Congratulations to figures and Heffalump007 on your joint first to find!
