Geocache Description:

11th in the “O' Brother Where Art Thou?" series…one of my favorite movies! Released in 2000, it highlights the travels, exploits, and adventures of Everett, DelMar, and Pete! BYOP.

UPDATE: 3-2-11, new coords! This scene finds our three misfits walking down a dusty road. They have a car drive up, and it is none other that George “Baby Face” Nelson, fleeing from the law! He’s just robbed a bank, and in a hurry. So, Pete, Delmar, and Everett jump inside and join George in this adventure!.

Eventually, George and the boys drive on, no longer pursued by the feds, into the small town of Itta Bena. They stop at a bank, where George carries in his tommy gun. The boys enter behind him. George gleefully introduces himself to the patrons while firing into the air, and he quickly robs the bank.

"Thank you folks! And remember: Jesus saves but George Nelson withdraws!" he shouts as they go head for the exit. One of the patrons, a small, old lady, whispers to the man next to her that it's "Babyface" Nelson. George spins around angrily, demanding to know who said it. He screams at the woman that his name is George, not Babyface, and Delmar soothes him, saying she meant nothing by it. Feeling low, George leaves with the boys.

That night they camp out in the woods together. Depressed, George leaves the campfire by himself, giving our three amigos all of the stolen money. Everett theorizes that those with a thrill-seeking personality like George suffer from severe highs and lows, and he thinks they haven't seen the last of George yet…hence the title of the cache.

The cache is located off of Highway 87, and you can park at N 30 37.367, W 086 57.995 on an open field/land for sale. Or, near the cache location there is a Holiday Inn Express close by. I don’t think you’ll have to worry about George “Baby Face” Nelson leaving stolen bank money at the campfire, or then having him mysteriously walk away, but have fun nonetheless! If you have seen “O’ Brother Where Art Thou?” then you’ll soon understand the connection with the movie line title. HAPPY HUNTING!
**CONGRATS to fljhawk for FTF!! Ok...now it's time to actually go HIDE some caches so the rest of us can get FTFs!! HA!!**
