On the Trail Again!! Traditional Cache

Bring your own writing instrument. The cache is located at the start (or end depending on your perspective) of the East Lake Sammamish Trail and is on the south side of the fence from SR 520 - DO NOT approach from 520 - approach from East. Cache is NOT on the West side of the fence. Parking nearby at Redmond Inn/Family Pancake House.
I was scheduled to attend an offsite meeting at the Redmond Inn and was excited at the prospect of finding a cache somewhere nearby, only to discover that there weren’t any. Not only that, but the East Lake Sammamish Trail is right behind the hotel, which is an ideal location. I would have thought there would be a cache every 1/10th of a mile. So I grabbed a lock & lock before the meeting and placed the cache during a break as far west as possible so there’s still room for more further down the trail.
UPDATE - the cache is no longer a lock & lock, which makes me very sad as at one point, REI came by and put in some really cool swag. Unfortunately there was some major landscaping and all the cover was removed. I couldn't come up with a regular size hide that wouldn't be muggled, so I had to downsize the container to a micro and be a little sneakier.
