A cache overlooking an airpark.
The airpark is the home of the Roskill Modellers Club, one of the oldest model clubs in Auckland, formed in the 1930's. Previous flying sites have included Keith Hay Park and Pikes Point. Most weekends you will see flying a variety of radio controlled aircraft types, from WWII fighters to light trainers, helicopters, models with larges ic engines or electric power; and everything in between. The site is registered with the CAA and is marked on aviation charts. They are a friendly bunch of guys so stop and have a chin wag with them, but remember to obey the safety rules posted on the airfield.
The cache is mint tin positioned about 1m off the ground in a grove of trees just a short walk from the Airpark .
As usual with my caches, bring your own pen!!
