This cache is hanging around a spot where there used to be a cache called "Little Lizard's Hideaway" (GC12P10). This is number 6 (of 8) in the Hanging Around series.
That cache was the first cache that I hid but it was eventually muggled because of some heavy duty excavation going on as part of the effort to repair the area after a washout. The washout included the bridge used by anyone following the path along the Highline Canal. The old cache is either gone or buried by 3 feet or more of dirt. When this cache was hidden, there was still some excavation going on.
On the map, this site appears to be on a golf course but it is not on the golf course property. Use the Highline Canal trail to get to it. A good place to park is by the tennis courts in Redstone Park and access the trail from the connector at the intersection of Town Center Drive and Foothills Canyon.
Please do not go on the golf course property.
Please remember to place the log in the lid first. It will make it easier for the next cacher.
