This cache is located at a spot not far from the Juniper campground/picnic area, which is on the road heading to the summit of Mt. Diablo. There is a magnificent view from this spot over the Walnut Creek-Concord area, and extended west nearly to downtown San Francisco.
You should NOT climb to this one directly from below, as this is posted as a "maintenance" area. However, if you take the trail up from the entrance to the Juniper picnic/campground area, and then take the branch trail to the Engagement Cache (GC2NT5D), then you can reach this one by a pleasant (and legal) hike along the ridge.
