Clinton Falls (Almost...) Traditional Cache
Cotton Malone: While clearing out caches on hold in the queue, I came across this one. As there has been no response or action from the owner in over 30 days, I am forced to archive this cache.
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact me by email including the GC Code, and assuming it meets the current guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

Though this could be the title of a book about a president's struggle with ethics & infidelity, it's really just the name of a great set of waterfalls in the Newark Watershed. Unfortunately, the actual Clinton Falls area is now restricted to hikers (even with a valid permit), so I relocated the cache some distance upstream near one of several small streams that feed Clinton Brook. This is a family-friendly cache, and a walk of less than .2 miles from the nearest parking area.
Very quick access from Clinton Road along the Red/White blazed trail, with a turn to the right at about .15 miles onto a Blue blazed trail. The cache is about 100' off the Blue trail, and a stream crossing is not required.
A NWCDC permit is required to hike here.
The cache is a 1 pint lock & lock type container near the stream that contains a log/pen, some plastic critters, and other small items.
The GPS showed a 5-7 ft. accuracy after averaging for a while, but since this is intended to be a family-friendly cache, I've given some helpful clues to help avoid any DNFs.
***The cache was originally placed near Clinton Falls on 11/14/10 and was briefly published on 11/15. It was soon discovered that this was a restricted area, and the cache was relocated without delay. My apologies to any cachers who received the original coordinates, and may have sought this cache in it's original location.
Congratulations to AylaValo for the FTF! The route in from the VanOrden Rd. parking area is a little longer, but still a nice open & level trail - enjoy!
