One of the things I enjoy about caching in the United States is
the effort and fun cachers seem to have while saluting one of their
own local cachers. On more than one occasion, I've had the pleasure
of finding a "Golden Ammo Can" (literally, an ammo can painted a
gold colour) placed by one cacher to signify another cacher's
1000th find. Anybody can stick a piece of tupperware out in the
woods and dedicate it to someone, but MickEMT and tucci's team actually took some time to make
their caches special in someone else's honour. It's that kind of
simple effort that fosters good camaraderie amongst your own local
group of cachers, thus making it exponentially more fun to any
other cacher who comes to the area to make the find also.
I would like to dedicate this cache to my good friend The Blue
Quasar. Those of you who've had the pleasure to find some of his
awesome caches over the past 9 years will surely understand some of
the inside jokes included with this cache when it is found. Some
apply to him, and some to his family, but it's all in good fun!
Guest Reviewer: CacheDrone - This collector of hats and
long-time reviewer for Ontario has taught me a lot about
Geocaching. Over the past 3 years, I've had the pleasure of making
several road trips with him, heard an incredible amount of his
funny stories and met loads of new cachers at the events we
attended together. He even got me to try Waymarking, which is no
small feat. Kudos to you for doing all sorts of behind the scenes
work to keep the caching community excited for more.
The Quasy Quest: This is cache #14187815618.42... in other
words: It ain't part of the stinkin' series. But, if
you're interested in seeing more of what BQ has to offer, please
make sure that you peruse some of his upcoming caches with your
Cacheport book. Don't have one? You can get yours at BQ's Cacheport Office
