This cache is placed in a great rest spot on the old pacific highway in a town called Kew.
Kew is the southern gateway to the Hastings hinterland and the coastal drive.
The difficulty relates to the surrounding muggles, but the cache is far enough away to duck out of the line sight when necessary.
The cache name honours an Australian Aviation pioneer - Nancy Bird-Walton.
Nancy was born in Kew in 1915 and was instructed by another Australian Aviation Pioneer Charles Kingsford Smith.
Nancy has received an OBE for her Aviation achievements.
Kew has a long and varied history. Logging started in the area in 1856.
Located near the GZ is a large axe and log cart to represent the importance of the timber industry in the area.
Dairy began in the region in 1880s and continues today.
Many young men served in the war and also near the GZ is a memorial for those who didn't return.
Kew has a thriving community supporting outlying villages in the hinterland.
Congratulations to the BROWNGANG as FTF!!
