Thursday is a good day for tea, especially in the winter season.
This is the first in a set of 4 individual traditional caches
highlighting some different kinds of teas for you to enjoy. These 4
caches aren't meant to be difficult hides or long hikes
necessarily, but should give you a reason to get out in the cold
and build up a craving for one.
Darjeeling tea is traditionally referred to as that tea which is
cultivated, grown, produced and manufactured in the Darjeeling
mountainous area of India. Darjeeling tea is a unique tea which,
when brewed, has a distinctive, naturally occurring aroma and
taste. It is produced from the small leaved Chinese plant "Camellia
Sinensis", first brought to India by the British in the
1830s.
When properly brewed, it yields a thin-bodied, light-colored liquor
with a floral aroma. The flavour also displays a tinge of
astringent tannic characteristics, and a musky spiciness often
referred to by tea connoisseurs as "muscatel."
