Geocache Description:

Phangnga Town is a nice and quiet place in the south of Thailand, often only visited by foreigners to go to James Bond Island. In town there are nice points that are worth a visit.
This is a set of 4 caches in town.

Each cache will bring you to another unique point that is almost unvisited. Each site has its own cache.

North: ‘City Pillar’
West: ‘Lang Bart ancient pagoda ‘
South: ‘Elephant Mountain’
East: ‘Rock art’

This is cache NORTH.

Each province has its own central point. It is the 'city pillar'.
The city pillar is the 'centre of the province, and refers to the first settlement of people in that part of the country.

In Phangnga the city pillar is located in a small area behind the petroll station. It is easy to reach if you could find the entrance street. Watch for the orange sign. You can park near this cache, almost grab it from your car/bike....

The cache is outside, but you should go inside. There are some pictures of how it was and you can see that they have renovated the area. Worshippers offen come by and the centre rock can't be missed.

Good luck with the other caches of 'Phangnga city'

(If cache is lost, you can log with a photo... but if it is still there, you can't......)
