The Green Mile Traditional Cache
AMAZO: Went to check on this one today... It's more of a Grey Mile these days I'm afraid! Unfortunately I "found" the cache buried under a tonne of cement!
Sorry to see this one go but it's what it would have wanted...
to be muggled by a waterfall and then a cement mixer!

A reservoir crossing the boundary between Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire, Rowbank is located 2¼ miles (3.5 km) south southwest of Howwood and 6 miles (10 km) southwest of Paisley. It was constructed by Paisley Corporation Water Works to supply drinking water to the town and was opened on the 13th April 1870 by Provost David Murray of Paisley (1807-79). Barcraigs Reservoir opened immediately to the west in 1916 and the reservoir was extended in the 1930's. Today the pair are recorded on the Ordnance Survey map as Barcraigs Reservoir and are owned by Scottish Water. Together, they support a well-established recreational fishery, with brown, rainbow and blue trout, together with perch and pike, which is managed by the Rowbank Angling Club.
The cache is about a 5-10 minute walk from the gate. The path sweeps around to the right and you will see two white posts in the distance. Head towards the posts and then begin your descent down "The Green Mile". Oh, and enjoy the views along the way!
