Geocache Description:

An interesting tree with a nice view

FTF goes to Navimate!

I've always liked this tree, to me it belongs in a horror movie, or at the very least some dark comedy.  Looking from the west it seems a normal tree, but the view from the east reveals it as a potential film star.


The valley below is full of vegetable and dairy farms, a nice view on a clear day.

There is a safe place to park 120m west of the tree at an old farm gate. It is somewhat easier approached from the Grahamstown direction; coming from Port Alfred you might miss it. The road is twisty so please be careful when pulling into and out of the parking spot.

The road is also narrow with no hard-shoulder so be careful while looking for the cache. Not recommended for kids.
