A reason to escape the shops Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

radnoski: It sounds like the local youth, homeless people and muggles appreciate this spot next to the canal.... but not so much the greater geocaching community.

Given the recent comments about the homeless people, possible drug paraphernalia and unsightly graffiti near the GZ, I am archiving this cache.

(Also the water appears to flow straight through the hiding spot on the way to the canal, constantly drenching the cache)

Cheers.

Geocache Description:

Escape the nearby shopping centre and come find this cache and the other nearby caches. This cache will take you to a nice quiet muggle free spot (hopefully) and you can also admire the "street art" of the local youth on the way to the cache. It is a small 500ml container with room for small to medium sized items.

A few months back I saw some logs on "G'Day from Downunder" and nearby caches about a bloke who decided to escape the shops while his wife had a hair appointment.

He did a loop of 4 or 5 of the Broadbeach caches and hopefully returned in time to meet his wife.

This one has been placed close to Pac Fair to lure you out of the shopping centre.

Once you find this one there are plenty more within walking distance.

There is a bit of tree cover so I grabbed a few GPS readings and averaged them out. Let me know if I am way-off.

I did some CITO when placing the cache so if you have a spare shopping bag you may want to bring it and do some CITO.
