By Cracky! It IS a Chimney Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Granny Todd: Learned it might be on private property so I found out who the owners were (Glen Major Angling Club) wrote asking permission and they replied politely asking me to remove it as it was in rough terrain and they didn't want to be held liable for accidents.

Geocache Description:

The shortest way in to this cache in the Glen Major Forest is a hike of about half an hour walking west and then south, starting at the road allowance opposite the turn into Chalk Lake Road from Con. 7 in Uxbridge Township, The Trail Capital of Canada. If you continue to walk down the trail past Post 18 you will notice a side trail on your left with a sign showing that it is not a through trail. If you walk to it's apparent end you will see that it keeps on going and only gradually becomes less easy to follow. At this point start looking up and you will see a hill ahead. As you get close you will see a wondrous sight.
It really is a chimney, probably constructed from the field stones left in piles in various parts of the forest by long ago farmers who actually tried to farm here. The chimney has been here a long time but is of more recent vintage than the pioneering farmsteads.

The cache is a type that had me fooled for a long time until someone kindly gave me a not too subtle hint.
It is bigger than a nanno but there's no room for anything but the log. It should be winter friendly so don't look on the ground.

Do what Capers 4 suggested and bring tweezers.
