Geocache Description:

This building was once the Franklin Hospital. The building was built in 1927 by Dr. F. B. Collins and opened as a hospital on December 29th of that same year.

The hospital had 20 rooms. The surgerical room as well as some patient rooms were located on the 2nd floor. A ramp leads to the 2nd floor, this was to move the ambulance gurneys upstairs. In 1936 the 2 story home next door was built as a Nurse's Home.

The Franklin closed in 1955 when the present day Claremore Hospital was built.
