okresla jednoczesnie wzgórze i grodzisko pozostale po
wczesnosredniowiecznym grodzie, który datowany jest na IX-X wiek.
Byl to jeden z najbardziej wysunietych na pólnocny wschód grodów
obronnych Mazowsza. Jego polozenie wskazuje na charakter obronny.
Od pólnocnego wschodu zabezpieczeniem dla grodu byla nie tylko
Narew, ale takze szeroka i bagnista dolina rzeki. Do dnia
dzisiejszego zachowaly sie takze pozostalosci walów ziemnych
otaczajacych gród.

Top of Queen Bona Hill - elevation near Stara
Lomza. Together with lying next to Mount St. Lawrence is associated
with the old (before 1400) location of Lomza. Name specifies both
the hill and the other early medieval fortified bulkheads, which
dated to the IX-X century. This was one of the most advanced in the
north-east fortified towns of this region. Its location indicates a
defensive character. Since security for the north-east of the
castle was not only Narew, but also the broad and marshy river
valley. Well preserved remains of embankments around the city might
be seen today.
