A standard cache on public footpaths near the M5/M50 junction. To get to this cache, you will have to go through Twyning - no access from the motorway.
Set by Twyning Scouts Kingfisher Patrol to replace the orignal M50 View cache (Merlin Patrol) which was muggled twice (unless the rabits used it to decorate their burrow). The cache is placed 250m from the original location, but still has fine views.
Set by Twyning Scouts Bison Patrol, to link up with the series of 2TSG Scout caches, including: Cleeve View, Malvern Hills View, Curlews Nest, Sheepy Hollow, Pheasant's Playground, A Fisherman's Tale, In for a penny in for The Pound and Motorway Mayhem M50 J1. These can be combined to make a decent walk circumnavigating our village using the many public footpaths.
The coordinates are for the cache, which is a small plastic camo container. It will accept small swaps, TBs etc.
Parking is available at the end of Dingle Lane, for a short time. Don’t drive any further (it is a public footpath, but not a right of way for vehicles). Alternative parking at Lynworth lane.
Follow public footpaths, for approx. 1km, over the M50 bridge to the cache. There are views to the Malvern Hills, Bredon Hill and the Telecomms dishes at Defford. The tall mast you can see is measuring wind for a possible wind turbine, strongly opposed by the locals. The mast represents the height of the nacelle,. The blades would be another 40m higher!
Initial contents include scout badges, an Egyptian coin, some toy soldiers.
Enjoy!
