The back story to direct you to the cache
I work for AFLAC selling insurance through small businesses to
their employees. Some days we go out on the street knocking on
doors. These days are called FED days. (Feet Equals Dollars). It
can be quite effective if you do it right. (Out of habit or maybe
paranoia, I am always looking where the nearest fire hydrant is for
any business.)
On one day recently I was driving around Billerica. I saw a total
of 71 businesses. At 42 of those businesses I managed to get in to
speak with someone. At 15 of them I actually spoke with the owner
and at 32 I spoke with the HR manager. What I want to tell you
about is the best calls I had that day.
Call A: My first good stop of the day was at Dalsa Coreco on
Technology Park Dr. I met with the owner and showed him how he
could offer these benefits to his employees at no cost to the
business. He immediately had me present to the 7 employees he had
there who bought a total of five thousand one hundred forty-seven
dollars of insurance. As I was pulling out of the drive I noticed a
fire hydrant near the main sign for the building, not very close to
the building.
Call B: Next I stopped at Tocco Building Systems on Cook St.
I met with the HR manager and showed her how we handle all the
paperwork for enrollment and claims. She decided I should present
to the company and 39 of the employees bought a total of nine
thousand four hundred forty-nine dollars of
insurance. When I walked out I notice the nearest fire hydrant was
right at the edge of the parking lot thought how lucky they were to
have one so close.
Call C: My next stop was up on Boston Rd. at Liberty Bell
Roast Beef. A very nice owner listened as I told him how the
policies were all designed to pay cash to the employee when they
were hurt or sick and he like that idea. He had me present to 69
employees and I sold a total of eleven thousand one hundred
eighteen dollars of insurance. As I walked out of that business I
noticed a fire hydrant right across the street, not so close but
not so far.
Call D: At my next stop, I won’t even tell you where
but you might figure it out from what I have said, the HR director
said there were only 8 employees and none of them were interested
in insurance. I tried to tell him that employees should be given
the chance to decide for themselves when he showed me the door.
Once I was outside I drove down to the corner and got out of the
car and sat on a fire hydrant to think.
From that point I decided to take a walk in a nearby conservation
area that was 1356.385 feet away at 168.73 degrees. There I found a
variety of places to sit down and take a break. So I did. I dropped
a container in which you will find a card with the words
“Cache Log” on one side. After you find it and log it
please return it to where you found it.
Good luck and good caching,
Loch Cache
Congrats to Cook01821 on the
