As you come down Desert wind way the paved road will become a unpaved road keep going you will cross a cattle guard- there is a parking area a little further on your left-park there. You can hike up from there if you have a 4wheeler you can get closer -the cache is at about 4400 ft.up.
The cache is a ammo box-filled with goodies-when you get there-one large rock is there for you to sit a pone -as you look across to the Dona ana mountains this large area is being developed by the BLM as a recreational area -you can see the mountain bike trails,just past the the parking area to the right you see the dirt bike area.Some of the plan ideas are primitive camping sites,two more parking areas with vault toilets and more biking and hiking trails. Come out and take a look, it is your land.
