retiredprof: In light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all 150 of my challenge caches. I am a retired psychology professor, not a computer programmer. I am simply unable to comply with the new geochecker rules. I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden along the Feather River levee about nine miles south of Yuba City at the above-listed coordinates. Park at the white gate (coordinates listed below) and hike about one-half mile north on the levee. And be sure to read the logging requirements below.

************LOGGING REQUIREMENTS************

With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, I was thinking about the importance of family. I hope you are surrounded by caring family members. This cache is all about family. Your job is to find a cache in 16 separate categories (the category name must appear in the cache title): mother (includes mom and mama), father (includes dad and daddy), mother-in-law, son, daughter, brother, sister, grandmother (includes grandma), grandfather (includes grandpa), aunt, uncle, grandchild (includes grandson, and granddaughter), nephew, niece, cousin, and family. After finding these 16 caches, find nine more...spread out over these categories...bringing your total finds to 25. There is no time limit, you may already have found these family-member caches. When logging this cache, list your requisite caches as shown below...and be sure to list caches from five different caching categories (icons). I hope that you can involve your entire family in this fun project...
