Geocache Description:

This is #2 in a Series of 4 Caches located at Wildwood State Park on the Red Trail. It is an easy loop with minimal bushwhacking to the cache required.

Wildwood State Park is located on the North Shore in Wading River. Activities beside Geocaching include: camping, fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking and cross country skiing on its great trails. The Red trail is the shortest of the four main trails. It is a 1.8 mile loop that starts near the parking lot and brings you out to the campground before picking up the trail that leads back to the parking area. During the Spring-Early Fall seasons the campground has a small concession stand as well as bathrooms. You will also find facilities down at the beach. There is a parking fee from Spring - Early Fall. Hope you enjoy this beautiful North Shore Park.
