Beautiful place on Koh Phangan with waterfalls and nature trails in National Park. The place is very nice in any weather, but entrance is allowed only in daytime (8:30 - 17:00).
The Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan was declared part of the National Forest in 1977 and is located in the small village of Madua Wan. With various entrance points, and even more trekking routes, the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan is the perfect place for a nature enthusiast. Not too far away is the highest peak of Koh Phangan, Khao Ra, at 630 meters.
If you are trying to get to the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan, you will have to do a little bit of hiking. There are many marked trails within the National Park that lead to the waterfall, including other trails to get to the other three waterfalls. Once you get to the bottom of the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan, you will most likely first see the pools of water at the base. These pools of water are a great place to stop for a picnic and to stare up at the tumbling waterfall. After a hard rain the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan flows even more powerfully.
The focal point, Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan, is a pretty precipitous climb, a 250-meter walk up a jungle trail, climbing a further 200 meters to a spectacular view atop the mountain. There is another foot trail near the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan that will guide you to another mountain viewpoint on Khao Ra. The scenery at and near Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan is nothing short of majestic. It will be worth your jungle trek. Keep in mind that caution should always be in the forefront of your mind as some of these trails can be dangerous and difficult to follow in places.
If you are a serious hiker or backpacker, you may be interested in hiking up to the top of the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan and around the backside of the National Park. Some of the trails are very strenuous, but if you are a true adventure seeker, you may enjoy the challenge of these trails near the Phaeng Waterfall in Koh Phangan.
