This cache takes you to the memorial and graves of some old soldiers and salts where you will gather some facts before discovering the final GZ
Those who lie here fought for the Empire in the wars of the nineteenth century, the Crimea, Balaclava, The Charge of the Light Brigade, The Nile and other wars and who were former inmates of the United Services Home Drysdale.
In 1891 the United Services Home for ex soldiers and sailors of the Empire was opened in Drysdale with an initial eight residents. The oldest was said to had served at Waterloo (1815) whilst many others served in the Crimea 1853-56. The home closed in 1922 and is now a private residence at 15 Crimea St. It is easy to spot, it is the one with the cannon in the driveway!
