Geocache Description:

Cache is a small camoe'd container hiding at a rest side pull off with a great view of Harrison Bay. There is plenty of parking well off the highway and a waterfall trickling it's way down the rock face across the road. During different seasons you can see many different birds in the bay. At the time we placed the cache there were Eagles, Great Blue Herons, Swans, and Gulls frequenting this feeding area.

This should be a quick find for those who have a great sense of tricky geocache hides. A simple roadside quick dash, take a few photos of the falls and Bay and head back on the road again. It was just an area that we thought could use a cache. The cache is unique in that you do not remove it, but rather unscrew it and pull the whole thing out. Pencil is attached and will come out with the log. You'll see when you find it... ;0) wink, wink.

We also are putting forth a challenge to all cachers that grab this cache.... There is a sign posted that reads "No Dumping" and we were disturbed to find so much trash thrown over right where the sign is posted.

The Challenge: If every Geocacher would bring along a garbage bag and do just a 1 Bag CITO in the area, we would be doing our part to help prevent trash from entering our waterways and we would have this area cleaned. Be ENVIRO wise... and help our beautiful Hwy#7 stay beautiful to all visitors. Besides there is probably a few dollars in refundable cans and bottles down there. We picked up a trash bag of garbage and carried out a box of beer cans that were tossed over the edge. Amazing that the trash is not near the cache location, but rather only near the sign. Let's live by the GeoCachers Creed and Leave No Trace. Cache in Trash Out. REMEMBER ~ You'll enjoy nature even more...by caring for these special places.
