Geocache Description:

Tiny cache is hidden near Tsukimoto Oiwake.

“Oiwake” is the name for junctions or branches of important roads. At this junction, Nara Kaido Road branches out from Ise Kaido Road. Ise Kaido Road is an old highway which connects Tokaido in Yokkaichi and Ise Jingu Shrine. Nara Kaido Road which also called “Igagoe Nara-michi” (means “Nara Road crosses Iga province”) connects Nara and this junction, today this road merged into Iga Kaido Road in Misato town, Tsu city. There are a large stonepost and lantern left near the cache point.

キャッシュは伊勢街道の月本追分付近に隠されています。
月本追分は伊勢街道と奈良街道の分岐点です。伊勢街道は四日市で東海道から分かれ伊勢神宮に向かう道であり、奈良街道は「伊賀越え奈良道」とも呼ばれ、現在は伊賀街道と伊勢街道を結ぶ道となっています。キャッシュポイント付近には立派な道標と常夜灯が残されています。
