The contents of this cache are kid/dog friendly. Dedicated to my
friend Barkley. The terrain is a very steep hillside, so be careful
when navigating there. Not far off a dirt path, parking nearby.
This is a clear lockable plastic container that is about the size
of a shoebox. Inside the box is a logbook, pencil, and several
items to start off this cache. Among them are a dog leash, dog
collar, dog's soft camoflage toy, trading cards for boys and girls,
few small disney figurines, mardi gras beads, bracelet, small
(pocket) screwdriver. I have spent a lot of time in this park
before I was into Geocaching, and I really wanted to place a cache
in a well hidden spot. In the fall there is a beautiful view of the
lake before you decend the hill to the cache. Please respect the
rules of St. Louis County Parks Department. Park closes 1/2 hour
after sunset. Good Luck and Happy Geocaching! Congrats to trekto
for FTF!!

Special permission to
hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the
Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been
worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK
as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer
does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and
what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will
notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or
PVC PIPE caches. |
