Hike with mikeinmo to a Mallard Lake Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mikeinmo: I think it's time to archive this cache. It's location is pretty much inaccessible any time it has rained recently unless you want to wade in ankle deep mud.

Geocache Description:

This should be a fairly easy cache along the trail around Mallard Lake in Creve Coeur County Park. Tolleybrew used to have a cache close to this one with a similar name but he archived it when he left town. I figured I would put another one up in it's place but had to move it because another cache had been placed too close to his original hiding place. If you start at the Lake House the trip to the cache is about 1 mile for a 2 mile round trip. The container is a small plastic jar that can hold a few trade items. There is a small flash light in the cache as a gift for the FTF on this cache. There is also a FTF geocoin in the cache that is on a mission. Whoever takes the FTF coins should see the coin's page before moving the coin.

IF ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY OR DAMAGE IS NOTICED IN A ST. LOUIS COUNTY PARK, PLEASE CALL 314-615-8911 AND REPORT IT.

Warning

NOTICE: Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy.
Special permission to hide caches in St. Louis County parks is NOT needed as long as the Groundspeak rules are followed. "Blanket Permission" has been worked out in advance with the park service. DO NOT CALL THE PARK as they cannot handle the calls. The Groundspeak cache reviewer does need to know exactly how and where the caches are hidden and what type of containers are used. The geocaching liaisons will notify the park service of new caches. Remember NO AMMO BOXES or PVC PIPE caches.
