[LAT] Sākotnēji šajā vietā atradās dzelzsbetona divlociklu spriešļa tilts ar 45m aili, visa tilta garums brauktuves līmenī bija 82 metri. Salacas tilts tajā laikā bija sava konstrukcijā un pēc lieluma vienīgais visās Baltijas valstīs būvētais tilts dzelzceļa kustībai. Tiltu sāka celt 1936 gada, ekspluatācijai to nodeva 1937. gadā. Tilts izmaksāja 150 000 Ls, ieskaitot zemes darbus abos tilta galos.
[ENG] In the beginning there used to be a two-arc rib bridge made of reinforced concrete with an aisle of 45m. The length of the bridge was 82m. At that time it was the only bridge in the Baltic states of this type specially made for railway. The construction was started in 1936 and already in the next year it was put in action. The costs for the bridge were 150 000 LVL including land works at both ends of the bridge.

[LAT] Vēlāk, padumjo laiku vara tiltu atjaunoja patreizēja izskatā.
