The Barbara Gordon was a British three masted wooden barque of 338 tons, built in 1836 at Sunderland, and commanded by Captain J. Lilley.
She was wrecked at midnight on 5 May 1853 while on a voyage from Adelaide to Swansea and London with a cargo of 181 bales of wool and 338 tons of copper ore. Five passengers including a child, and one seaman drowned while trying to reach shore on a raft.
