Geocache Description:

This is a 3 part multi cache and the beginning of the “Tour De Cache” series. The first container is located at the designated coordinates. When you find stage 1, you will find the coordinates to stage 2 inside. Stage 2 is the same way; the coordinates to stage 3 will be inside. The final stage contains the log as well as the first number of the coordinates for “Tour De Cache #11”. All containers for this multi cache are micro containers.

This series is dedicated to the cache containers. Without them we would not have geocaching at all. I put together a collection of 14 different containers of all different sizes and types. There are also several different difficulties/ terrains to contend with as well as 3 separate cache types (Traditional, Multi and Unknown). Make sure to check out all of the caches before attempting the series to obtain all relevant information.

These caches are all accessible year round. 2 wheel drive will get you pretty close to all of the caches. A vehicle with clearance would be required to get you closer to the “Tour De Cache #11” and 12. Otherwise a short hike will be required. The caches were placed with about 2” of snow on the ground but we did have a jeep to plow through the snow. We tried to guesstimate terrain and difficulty based on no snow present so feedback about the accuracy of these ratings could be useful.

The first cache is a 3 stage multi cache covering the smallest of cache containers. The final stage of the multi followed by 9 traditional caches, getting larger as you go, will have a number written on the back of the logs (clearly marked). These numbers are coordinates which will lead you to the unknown “Large” cache (Tour De Cache #11).

After you have completed the series, or you could do it before if you dare, you will be faced with “Tour De Cache #12 – The Challenge”. This is a 4 star difficulty cache for your searching pleasure. This is a traditional cache so the posted coordinates will be the correct ones. Those who complete the series first and find the unknown cache will be treated to a clue to find the challenge cache.
